To make sure important data is not tampered with – such as price – we have implemented a crawl back strategy. Information is always pulled directly from your website to ensure your security.

As an additional security measure, we require each account to configure which domains JamCart may run on. This is to prevent anyone impersonating your website.

With each checkout, JamCart performs the following steps:

  1. Collect the verify-url for each item in the cart. (See Add Products)
  2. Compare these urls to your configured whitelist, rejecting each item that does not match.
  3. Using a web crawler, fetch each URL to verify price. If the URL does not return an HTML document or the document does not contain the matching product/price pairing, the item is rejected.

While this may sound like an involved process, JamCart handles it all transparently behind the scenes so you don’t have to sweat the details.
